Claire Haslam

Keeping true to the history and culture of rural Saxapahaw NC, Claire Haslam has served at the forefont of the re-development initiative of the Saxapahw Cotton Mill. Under her ownership of Sissipahaw Lofts; She contributes to this unique community as the creator, visionary, and co-owner of co-work spaces Shift Work and Art Lab—while supporting a healthy working community through development and co-owner of The Eddy Pub. Haslam has various involvements with food and health ventures in Saxapahaw and is co-owner and developer of Saxapahaw Village Farm.
Haslam holds a Masters Degree from the University of Sydney (Australia) and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT. She is a certified athletic traininer, avid runner, cyclist and triathelete. She serves on the Board of Healthy Alamance and PARC, an initiatve to provide education and healthy food options for the citizens of Alamance County.
